Ann Oram RSW was born in London in 1956. She studied at Edinburgh College of Art between 1976 and 1982 and became a part-time lecturer there from 1983 to 1985, and again from 1991 to 1993. Oram was elected to the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour (RSW) in 1986. She has had numerous solo and group exhibitions and her work is included in various prestigious collections.
