First shown at Banksy’s 2003 exhibition of the same name, Turf War depicts former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill with a green mohican. Banksy debuted the painting in 2003. The stencil artwork Turf War portrays Winston Churchill with his characteristic focused and ferocious gaze, which earned him the moniker “The British Bulldog” during World War II.
